The project HIGREEW has been included in this publication by the European Commission from December 2020.
The short publication ‘Research & Innovation for Sustainable Batteries’ focusses on the new Commission proposal on sustainability requirements for batteries in the EU, which will modernise the EU legislative framework in order to fulfil three objectives:
- strengthen the competitiveness of the EU internal battery market,
- increase the resilience of the EU battery supply chain by closing the materials loop,
- reduce the environmental and social impact in all stages of batteries’ life cycle.
The project HIGREEW has been included in the selection of Horizon 2020 projects and networks that contribute to the sustainability requirements for batteries in the EU. You can find the publication here.
